New WRX Stardust and Rockdust.
Since the dawn of time, man has sought to understand his environment in order to better control it. At RALF TECH, we used to say that the ocean floor was the final frontier. And it's still true.
The oceans - or the world ocean - regulate over 80% of the earth's climate.
They therefore play a major role in the earth's temperature. And the ongoing exploration of the oceans will certainly enable us to preserve our planet for a little longer, in good conditions. But over the last 50 years, man has also set out to conquer space. The stratosphere, then the Moon and now Mars... From a frontier that is always partly inaccessible, the Ocean, to a frontier that is always infinite, Space, like the meeting of these two worlds on the line of a furtive horizon, RALF TECH invites you on an extraordinary journey with the new WRX Rockdust and Stardust.
In the infinite immensity of the cosmos, a link stretches between the abyss and space. It's a dance between darkness and light, in which ocean waves resonate with cosmic waves. The link between the abyss and space transcends mere coexistence. The vision is universal.
Born of the partnership between RALF TECH and CNES (Centre National d'Études Spatiales) since 2023 with the WRX Space Millenium, these two versions, Rockdust and Stardust, shed new light on the conquest of space, its interpretation and the way it can be interpreted through an imaginary vision.
A new design.
The new WRX ROCKDUST and STARDUST take up the familiar shape and volume of the WRX Electric. What's new is that the case is now bead-blasted. This treatment of the 316L surgical steel gives it a slightly grained appearance that matches - as we shall see later -the new dials on these models. Last but not least, this treatment gives the WRX ROCKDUST and STARDUST cases a matte surface very much inspired by the titanium of the WRX Space Millenium.
A 100% new micro-grained dial.
The new WRX ROCKDUST and STARDUST feature a new dial. Black for the STARDUST and chocolate for the ROCKDUST, the micro-graining treatment of their dials recalls their space origins. We're somewhere between the rocky soil of the Moon and that of Mars. And somewhere between meteorite fragments and stardust. Thanks to their technical specifications and the sandwich system, readability is excellent by day and visibility is exceptional by night.
An innovative movement...even better.
Developed in Switzerland for our company, the RTE001 movement uses a micro-hybridization system. It combines precision, reliability and energy savings. Built on the mecha quartz base of the hybrid movement equipping previous generations of WRXs, the RTE001 movement reduces the number of moving parts and simplifies quartz power supply as much as possible.
It can run for up to 100,000 hours, or almost 12 years, whereas most movements offer a power reserve of 40 hours for automatics and around 2 years for traditional quartz. Enough to go to Mars, stay there for a few years and... comeback!
An exclusive sealing system.
Developed for the THE BEAST model and extended for the WRX SPACE MILLENIUM, the new WRX STARDUST and ROCKDUST feature a “caseback” with an innovative “encapsulation” system. This innovation seals the back of the watch to the case, guaranteeing optimum water-resistance. To ensure the SPACE MILLENIUM's maintenance, only RALF TECH possesses the special tools needed to open and close the case back on this new model, guaranteeing the original water-resistance, overhaul after overhaul.
Technical features...in space!
With a surgical steel case, the thickest scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the market (for a production watch) at 5.9mm, a case middle 10mm thick in certain strategic places, wide straps held in place by anti-pull-off threaded rods, ceramic bezels and guaranteed water-resistance to 1000 meters, the new STARDUST and ROCKDUST are inherently ultra-high-performance tools.
Operating in a maximum operating range from - 50° to + 55°, their resistance to shock and vibration is exceptional. With 12 years of power reserve, their autonomy reaches record levels. Their new dials make them ultra-readable. These technical features, validated by weightlessness tests carried out in March 2024 with the first WRX SPACE MILLENIUM models, represent the sum of all RALF TECH's expertise and a tribute to the French space sector.
